How can the U.S. and China collaborate on climate and sustainability efforts, especially after COP26? Join Next-Gen entrepreneurs Veronica Chou, Euwyn Poon, and David Yeung to hear about their green inspiration and their hopes for sustainability in the U.S. and China. The conversation will be moderated by Annie Liang-Zhou, a founding member of the Next-Gen Leaders Circle and a serial green investor and philanthropist.
This program is presented as part of the “Conversations in U.S.-China Sustainability” series by the Next-Gen Leaders Circle under China Institute and the Serica Initiative, a platform connecting young U.S. and Chinese philanthropists and social innovators to work together on social and environmental projects, with the goal of promoting positive change in both the U.S. and China.

Veronica Chou, is the leader of several iconic fashion brands including Everybody & Everyone, Iconix China Group, and Novel Fashion Holdings. Growing up witnessing polluting apparel production, intrigued by the potential of material science, and affected by the body ideals implanted by the fashion industry, Veronica Chou founded eco-innovative, size-inclusive womenswear brand Everybody & Everyone. Veronica has also led investments in the Karl Lagerfeld brand - growing it to a global fashion and accessories business with many profitable product expansions. She invests into a wide range of businesses, focusing on fashion tech and sustainability.

Euwyn Poon
Euwyn Poon is a Singapore-born entrepreneur, lawyer, and engineer. He founded Spin, the micro-mobility company based in San Francisco that was acquired by Ford in 2018, and is the founding partner of the venture capital firm Moso Capital. Euwyn graduated from Cornell University in 2004 at the age of 18 with a degree in Computer Science andCornell Law School in 2007. After earning a J.D. from Cornell Law School, he practiced M&A and securities law at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett from 2007 to 2009, then was funded by Y Combinator.

David Yeung is the Founder & CEO of Green Monday Group, a multi-faceted social venture with the mission to take on the world’s most pressing crises of climate change, food insecurity and public health.
