Jenny Liu is a partner in Pillsbury’s Corporate practice and co-leader of the firm’s China practice. She splits her time between the San Francisco, Shanghai and Beijing offices.
Jenny advises growing companies on their operations in the United States and China in various industries, including internet and telecom, software, energy, education, medical devices, and consumer services. She also represents private and public companies, financial institutions, private equity firms and venture funds in commercial and corporate transactions, including equity financings, loan and credit agreements, cross-border mergers and acquisitions, and the formation and structuring of direct investments in the United States and China.

Mike Kosnitzky is the co-leader of the Pillsbury’s Private Wealth practice, advises some of the world’s most well-respected individuals, families and privately held businesses, using a holistic risk-assessment approach to the law.
Mike has been recognized as a Trust and Estates Trailblazer by the National Law Journal for his focus on where IRS policy is going and not necessarily where it stands today. His tax-minimizing strategies guide financial and strategic buyers in complex taxable and tax-free mergers and acquisitions; privately held businesses in estate tax-efficient succession planning; private investment funds in their choice of jurisdictions and structures; wealthy families in generational real estate income tax and estate tax planning; individuals and family offices regarding artwork and collectables; and ultra-high-net-worth individuals in U.S. and foreign trust matters. Mike, who is also a certified public accountant, is a prolific writer on diverse tax topics and the co-author of two treatises on S corporations. The S Corporation: Planning and Operation and The S Corporation Answer Book, both Wolters Kluwer publications.

Jane joined Citi Private Bank as Director and Ultra High Net Worth Private Banker in February 2012. Jane and her team are responsible for managing complex client relationships and providing a variety of sophisticated strategies including asset management, credit/lending, customized banking, tax-efficient generational wealth transfer, estate planning and philanthropy. She holds Series 7, 63 and 66 licenses. Jane joined from The Presidio Group LLC in San Francisco, one of the largest privately owned independent wealth management firms in the country with $4 Billion under advisement and 150 client relationships with a minimum net worth of $50 million, at which she was a partner. Prior to Presidio, Jane spent 17 years with Fidelity Investments in a myriad of Wealth Management roles, including 10 years as Vice President/Senior Account Executive in the Private Client Group, advising on investment and wealth management strategies, managing a book of 500 clients with total assets exceeding $2 Billion

Jennifer Ma

Jennifer has over 30 years of experience assisting multi-jurisdictional families with U.S. based assets. She has worked with all aspects of the capital markets, including IPOs, restricted stocks, and the Asian markets. This background enables her to proactively address Investments, Restricted Securities, Hedging Concentrated Positions, Income Tax Planning, and Estate Planning. She has deep understanding of regulations and reporting requirements triggered by transacting concentrated stock holdings during post-IPO period. She helps her corporate executive clients to develop long term plans to strategically move to a diversified portfolio and reach tax optimization. Leveraging BNY Mellon’s global resources, she bridges generations within families by defining and facilitating comprehensive family planning. The alignment of expectations are set through communication with all family members, with regular family meetings, and through ongoing education. Jennifer was born in Hong Kong and raised in San Francisco.  She is fluent in Cantonese, understands Mandarin, and travels to Asia frequently.
